Protein traffic. Polarity and cancer

In epithelial cells, the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and the endocytic route sort apical and basolateral plasma membrane proteins. We are studying the functional relationships between these pathways and adaptor proteins (AP-1B, AP-3 and AP-4), PKA and cholesterol. We are also trying to identify novel components of the TGN involved in exocytic trafficking.
